Program Description
The Vancouver Island Marmot is on the verge of extinction. This video was used as the centrepiece of a major fund-raising campaign undertaken by the Vancouver Island Marmot Recovery Foundation. The video won two top international awards. The program features world-renowned Canadian wildlife artist Robert Bateman creating a painting of the Marmot in its habitat. The film helped raise over $2 million dollars used to continue the scientific investigation and to establish breeding programs.
